Welcome to Musicians Web Store Blog!
This blog is part of our Musicians Web Store site and that in turn is part of our Steve Loates Music Centre website.
We are all nervous and excited about our entry into the world of blogging. Excited about the prospects for exchanging ideas and nervous about not making complete fools of ourselves!
We ask for your patience as we establish ourselves in this new world of wide webbing. Our hope is that we can provide both interesting and informative dialogue...and sometimes even humour. Some of our authors may be more amusing than others.
The overall theme of our blog will be "Music Making" and the products, people and methods that go along with that theme.
I would also like to point out for all of American friends....Centre and humour are not misspelled....just part of our British heritage here in Canada....eh!
So, if you have an interest in music making we hope you will stay tuned and enjoy our blog.
We invite your feedback and participation.
Hello:
That is just the North American way. If piano lessons and hockey practice should happen to fall on the same night, there is no question as to which activity will win out. Who gets the attention in High School? The quaterback of the football team or the highly decorated piano player? There is nothing wrong with either pursuit and truth be told, it is none of my business which hobby a family feels is most important. I just have to wonder how many middle aged one-time football, baseball, basketball or hockey players are sitting with their children and saying "gee, now that I'm a little older, I wish I had stuck with my piano lessons." In addition to learning very valuable skills such as discipline and concentration you can continue to play the piano for the rest of your life.
